Director of Product Management

As Director of Product Management, you will own the product vision, strategy, and execution across Secomea’s cloud, software, and hardware portfolio. Reporting to the CTPO, you will guide product direction during a period of platform evolution, international expansion, and heightened regulatory expectations in OT security. This role focuses on operational product leadership, execution, and portfolio governance, while the CTPO retains the overall technology and long-term innovation strategy.
You take ownership of the operational product leadership to ensure measurable product outcomes, roadmap governance, discovery cadence and cross-functional decision making, partnering closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions, and the Product Leadership Team to deliver market-defining industrial cybersecurity and remote access solutions.
The current product management team consists of 4 Product Managers and 2 UX Designers/Researchers. You earn their trust by your exceptional clarity and strong experience in leading and growing cross-functional product teams from research to end-of-life campaigns. You’re able to act hands-on to fill the gaps of a scaling organization, balancing strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
· Define and own the product vision and end-to-end strategy for Secomea’s Cloud-to-Edge platform, aligned with business goals and global expansion.
· Transform market, customer, and technology insights into clear product direction, balancing innovation with the realities of live, mission-critical deployments.
· Ensure a scalable, evidence-based product operating model, with strong discovery practices, customer feedback loops, and outcome-driven OKRs that enable continuous value delivery.
Portfolio Leadership & Execution
· Oversee the full product lifecycle across software, hardware, cloud, and cybersecurity components.
· Balance the evolution of legacy product areas while maintaining operational continuity and differentiation for sustainable growth.
· Ensure roadmap coherence across multiple product lines, markets, and technology teams.
· Act as the key interface between product teams, ops, product marketing, sales, customer support, and success.
· Build trust with enterprise customers by effectively communicating product rationale, direction, and industry thought leadership.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
· Lead by example, coach, and scale a world-class Product Management and UX team and operate hands-on yourself when needed.
· Ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and ownership; elevate performance through coaching, structure, and process.
· Foster a culture where product management, UX and engineering operate with continuous discovery, evidence-based decision-making, strong accountability, and an entrepreneurial mindset beyond the classic product-trio approach for a healthy cross-functional collaboration which drives customer outcomes.
Market Alignment & Strategic Insight
· Navigate evolving industry standards such as IEC 62443, Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and emerging OT networking and security frameworks to drive adoption.
· Track and interpret emerging OT automation trends in Industry 4.0, including Edge AI, virtual PLCs, and cyber-physical systems security.
· Act as credible product voice in our Analyst Relations program on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
Experience & Background
Product Management Experience
· Strong track record of building and scaling B2B SaaS, OT, cybersecurity, or IoT platforms spanning both hardware and software components.
· Experience with distributed cloud architectures, data platforms, and AI-driven processing or analytics tools.
· Demonstrated ability to modernize legacy solutions and evolve platforms incrementally while maintaining stability for live, mission-critical environments.
· Experience designing and delivering products for complex industrial or cyber-physical deployments, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.
· Proven experience building, scaling, and leading empowered product teams that deliver measurable impact.
· Hands-on experience collaborating closely with UX and User Research to drive customer-centric product decisions.
Industry Experience
· Background in industrial automation, OT security, or IIoT environments with an understanding of the unique challenges of industrial networks and cyber physical system (CPS).
· Experience building or operating globally deployed products with complex compliance and security requirements.
· Exposure to private equity environments, including value creation planning and investment prioritization.
· Experience in organizations involving M&A or integrating acquired technologies and teams is a plus.

· Strong communicator able to translate complex concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-suite, customers, and board-level stakeholders.

· Creative problem-solver with a bias for action while able to balance innovation, risk, customer needs, and commercial priorities.

Location
Secomea is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and values a strong, collaborative office culture. The product management team is currently distributed across Copenhagen and Germany. Candidates are ideally based in the Greater Copenhagen area or in a nearby hub, with the flexibility to travel to the Copenhagen office 1–2 times per month, as well as to customers and industry events globally.
