Tech Team Lead – C# / .NET
Are you a senior C# developer ready to take the next step into leadership — or an established Tech Team Lead looking for your next challenge? Whether you're growing into a role where you lead people, shape technical direction, and drive meaningful impact, or you're already doing this and ready to bring your experience to a new team, this is your opportunity to make a difference while working on a cutting-edge Industrial IoT platform used by companies around the world.
We are looking for either an experienced C# developer ready to take on a Tech Team Lead role, or an established Tech Team Lead, to join our development team — combining hands-on technical leadership with people leadership for one of our SaaS teams.
Secomea is headquartered in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, with offices in Japan, and North America and partners around the world. We help businesses leverage the power of Industrial IoT, delivering a solution that exceeds international security requirements with a strong focus on scalability and ease of use.
The Role
The Tech Team Lead role is an extension of a senior technical position. You will continue to contribute hands-on as a senior developer in the team, while also serving as the direct people leader — a bridge between the team and leadership. This is not a step away from technical depth; it is an additional responsibility that ensures your team and its members are supported, guided, and developed while you remain a strong technical voice.
Technical Responsibilities
Secomea develops everything from hardware, firmware, and low-level kernel code to HTTP-based APIs and React frontends. In this role, you will take a technical lead position in an experienced team working on our SaaS solution.
Take responsibility for supporting architectural decisions within defined guardrails.
Drive code quality, system robustness, and software craftsmanship.
Co-own the team's build and deployment pipeline and help move us further toward continuous delivery.
Collaborate closely with other teams across R&D, including Quality Assurance, Cyber Security, Release Management and Operations.
People Leadership Responsibilities
As the direct people leader for the team, you foster a healthy, collaborative culture that balances high performance with individual growth. Your technical skills as well as your integrity and soft skills make you a natural leader and role model. You conduct regular 1:1s for guidance, support development plans and career progressions, handle people-related issues, participate in hiring and offboarding, and procvide sound and structured input on salary and promotions. You report regularly to Director level on team well-being and work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on both delivery and people matters.
What We Are Looking For
First and foremost, we are looking for a strong team player who thrives in a rapidly growing environment and is energized by combining deep technical work with leading people. You don't need to tick every box below, but you should bring a solid foundation in .NET and SaaS technologies.
Core Technical Skills
Advanced C# proficiency — async/await, reflection, delegates/events; strong grasp of OOP and common design patterns.
.NET Core / Modern .NET — ASP.NET Core for Web API development; dependency injection, configuration, and logging.
Database technology — NoSQL document databases such as CouchDB; JSON-based data storage and RESTful database APIs.
Unit and integration testing — xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest; comfortable with TDD or BDD.
SaaS and Cloud Skills
Cloud platforms (Azure) — deploying and managing applications in the cloud, including services such as Azure App Service. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong advantage.
RESTful API design — designing and implementing RESTful APIs for SaaS applications, with a solid understanding of API security including OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
Scalability and performance — designing scalable, high-performance SaaS solutions; performance profiling and optimization.
Security and OT Knowledge
Security best practices — encryption, authentication, and authorization for web applications and APIs.
Operational Technology (preferred) — familiarity with OT protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, or MQTT, and the unique security challenges of ICS and SCADA environments.
Leadership Qualifications
Proven senior-level software development experience and the ability to keep contributing hands-on.
Experience or demonstrated aptitude for people-oriented responsibilities — such as mentoring, coaching, or conflict resolution — alongside hands-on technical delivery
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including managing conflict and supporting individuals.
Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with Product Management.
What You Can Expect
At Secomea, we work in teams, and we hire for teams. We value who you are as much as the skills you bring — the right person for the right team is more important than having every skill from day one.
You can expect a career with flexibility, inclusiveness, and a diverse, global work environment. We are more than 160 employees worldwide representing more than 25 nationalities, with around 95 at our Danish headquarters in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, of which roughly 30 work in the Tech department.
