We are looking for a customer-focused Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between complex technical environments and commercial success. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales and customers throughout the buying journey, helping prospects understand, validate, and successfully adopt Secomea's solutions.
You will play a critical role in technical discovery, solution design, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and technical deal execution, ensuring customers have the confidence to choose Secomea as their trusted cybersecurity partner.
This is a highly customer-facing role where you will work closely with Sales, Implementation, Product, and technical teams to understand customer challenges, design the right technical solution, and help customers validate that Secomea is the right choice for their environment.
You will report to Jesper Sønderby Andersen, Senior Director of Global CSM, Professional and Implementation Services, Solution Architects.

Your Mission
As one of our Sales Engineers, your primary objective is to establish Secomea as the preferred technical solution and remove technical barriers throughout the sales process.
You will partner with Sales from opportunity qualification through discovery, solution design, technical validation, Proof of Concept execution, and deal closure.
A significant part of your role will involve leading and executing customer PoCs. You will define success criteria, design and configure solutions, coordinate technical evaluations, solve challenges, and ensure customers reach a clear and confident technical decision.
Your role is not simply to demonstrate technology. You will help customers understand how Secomea solves their specific challenges and deliver the confidence needed to move forward.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Discovery & Solution Design
Support Sales in qualifying opportunities and determining the appropriate level of technical engagement.
Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, challenges, security requirements, and success criteria.
Design secure and scalable solution architectures aligned with customer OT, IT, networking, and cybersecurity environments.
Identify technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
Deliver tailored demonstrations that address each customer's unique needs and use cases.
Translate technical capabilities into meaningful business outcomes and customer value.
Proof of Concept (PoC) Leadership
A key part of this role is planning and executing successful customer PoCs.
You will:
Define scope, success criteria, timelines, responsibilities, and decision points.
Configure and deploy Secomea solutions within customer environments.
Collaborate directly with OT, IT, networking, and cybersecurity teams.
Ensure agreed use cases and success criteria are validated.
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with Product, Support, R&D, and Implementation teams when required.
Maintain momentum and proactively manage technical blockers and dependencies.
Present findings and technical recommendations to customer stakeholders.
Support Sales in converting successful technical validation into commercial success.
Capture learnings and continuously improve technical playbooks, demonstrations, and future engagements.
Technical Deal Execution
Own the technical solution strategy for assigned opportunities.
Support RFIs and RFPs with clear and compelling technical responses.
Develop solution architectures, technical proposals, and implementation recommendations.
Support security reviews, technical due diligence, and customer audits.
Address technical objections throughout the sales process.
Position Secomea effectively against competing solutions.
Build trusted relationships with customer technical teams and decision-makers.
Ensure technical decision criteria are met and no unresolved blockers remain before deal closure.
Continuous Improvement
At Secomea, winning deals is important, but learning from them is equally valuable.
You will:
Conduct win/loss reviews on relevant opportunities.
Identify recurring objections, competitive challenges, and market trends.
Maintain accurate technical opportunity data within Salesforce.
Share customer and market insights with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Sales Engineering processes, demonstrations, and technical positioning.

Translate customer requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
Lead structured discovery sessions and uncover business and technical needs.
Manage complex Proofs of Concept involving multiple stakeholders.
Troubleshoot technical issues methodically and effectively.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build credibility with engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and technical decision-makers.
Balance technical expertise with commercial awareness.
Take ownership and drive customer engagements forward.
Required Qualifications
Professional experience within Sales Engineering, Operational Technology (OT), Cybersecurity, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
Experience working with enterprise customers and complex B2B sales cycles.
Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or industrial environments.
Professional working proficiency in English and either French or German.
Ability to confidently conduct customer meetings, workshops, technical discussions, and Proofs of Concept in English and either French or German.

It Would Be a Strong Advantage If You Have
Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, or similar role.
Experience planning and executing customer PoCs or technical pilots.
Experience working with industrial customers, manufacturers, machine builders, or critical infrastructure.
Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
The ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
A strong customer-centric mindset and commercial understanding.
Experience collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Support, and Implementation teams.
