Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role
Secomea is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to take ownership of our hybrid infrastructure, spanning both on-premises and cloud environments (primarily Microsoft Azure).
You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our core IT systems and operations, collaborating closely with internal IT, architecture, and engineering teams.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in Microsoft technologies, networking, and infrastructure operations, who thrives in a hands-on environment and values reliable, secure systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and improve Secomea’s hybrid environment
- Ensure uptime, performance, and operational stability across environments, meeting SLA and reliability targets
- Manage and troubleshoot core systems, including Windows Server, networking, storage, and virtualization
- Serve as an L3 escalation point for complex infrastructure and network issues
- Oversee Microsoft environments: Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, Exchange, and related systems
- Contribute to security, compliance, and audit processes (ISAE 3402-2, ISO27001, NIS2)
- Collaborate with Platform Engineers, Architects, and the Internal IT Manager to align infrastructure with business and product needs.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and compliance controls.
- Drive operational cost efficiency and optimize technology spend.
- Mentor colleagues and promote best practices in infrastructure management and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., Data Technician with infrastructure specialization)
- 6–10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, including administration of hybrid environments
Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs)
- Azure management (VMs, networking, identity, cost management)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing)
- Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, or similar)
- Familiarity with Linux administration is an advantage.
- Strong experience with monitoring, backup, and automation tools (e.g., Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell, ScienceLogic, Prometheus).
- Understanding compliance frameworks such as ISAE 3402-2, ISO27001-2, NIS2, or SOC 2.
- Able to support key application like Github
- Excellent documentation skills, a structured working style, and a strong focus on operational reliability.
- Strong stakeholder management

- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 / AZ-801)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV)
